Under her leadership, PBS has evolved with the digital age, connecting to the 21st-century viewer by embracing new tech platforms, while preserving a high level of public trust. PBS celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2020. She is currently the only woman leading a national broadcast network.<\/p>\n<p>Kerger said: \u201cI believe so strongly in the purpose and power of public television: the content that makes a difference in peoples\u2019 lives; the conversations that bring people together; the programs and resources that prepare our youngest learners for success. Public television isn\u2019t just relevant\u2014the work we do has never been more important.
