The futuristic thriller is based on the acclaimed film of the same name.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Snowpiercer<\/em> is the perfect show to kick-off TBS\u2019s entry into dramas with intricate storytelling, stunning visuals and first-class acting,\u201d said Brett Weitz, general manager for TBS and TNT. \u201cWe believe in the longevity of this series and that audiences will be amazed by the fantastical world that brings to life such relevant social, political and environmental issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>TBS has also slated a new half-hour show featuring <em>Full Frontal with Samantha Bee<\/em> correspondent Amy Hoggart. The as-yet-untitled project will blend scripted and unscripted segments, tackling everyday problems.<\/p>\n<p><em>Saturday Night Live<\/em> alum Nasim Pedra has landed a single-camera comedy at the network. Pedra is creator, writer, executive producer and co-showrunner on <em>Chad<\/em>, a family sitcom in which she will play a 14-year-old pubescent Persian boy as he navigates his first year of high school on a mission to become popular.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding comedy renewals, TBS picked up its original series <em>The Last O.G.<\/em>, starring Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish, for a third season. A second installment of <em>Miracle Workers<\/em>, the anthology series created by Simon Rich and executive produced by Lorne Michael, is in place as well.<\/p>\n<p>Over on TNT, NBA legend Shaquille O\u2019Neal is the focus of a brand-new docuseries, <em>Shaq Life<\/em>, which takes a look into the day-to-day world of the Hall of Famer.<\/p>\n<p>WarnerMedia is partnering with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), the new professional wrestling promotion featuring a world-class roster of diverse male and female wrestlers, giving fans a new wrestling experience for the first time in 20 years. WarnerMedia and AEW together will build the sporting league from the ground up.
