For each task completed, a cash prize is up for grabs; when a task isn\u2019t completed, in addition to not earning the cash, a family member is eliminated from the game. The last standing relative must complete the rest of the challenges on their own, with the family taking home all of the money they&#8217;ve managed to earn up to the final elimination.<\/p>\n<p>Reynolds said: \u201cAll my life, the word \u2018don\u2019t\u2019 has tortured me. From \u2018don\u2019t curse\u2019 to \u2018don\u2019t play ball in the house\u2019 to \u2018don\u2019t eat the crab salad you left in the sun for three days.\u2019 I cannot wait for my personal trauma to become the next great ABC family show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho better than Ryan Reynolds to bring us the next big tent, family-friendly competition show?\u201d said Karey Burke, president of ABC Entertainment. \u201cWhen he and Banijay Studios came to us with this hilarious and wildly original idea, we were all in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>David Goldberg, president and CEO of Banijay Studios North America and executive producer of <em>Don\u2019t<\/em>, added: \u201c<em>Don\u2019t<\/em> is based upon the simple premise that there are countless things that our brain advises us to do. In <em>Don\u2019t<\/em>, contestants are challenged to resist what their brain is urging them to do. One thing is for sure, my brain never said \u2018don\u2019t\u2019 to Ryan Reynolds, one of the most talented and popular stars on the planet.
