{"id":9366,"date":"2019-04-05T01:00:54","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T05:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2019-04-16T16:27:19","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T20:27:19","slug":"stephen-curry-abc-team-up-from-mini-golf-competition-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/stephen-curry-abc-team-up-from-mini-golf-competition-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Stephen Curry, ABC Team Up for Mini-Golf Competition Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ABC Entertainment has picked up <em>Holey Moley<\/em>, a new extreme mini-golf competition show starring and executive produced by NBA star Stephen Curry.<\/p>\n<p>The ten-episode show from Eureka Productions and Unanimous Media will showcase mini-golf lovers from around the country as they compete head-to-head through an obstacle golf course. Curry will serve as the resident expert on the course and appear in every episode. An original format created by Chris Culvenor of Eureka Productions, the show begins production this month in California.<\/p>\n<p>Rob Riggle will act as the show\u2019s color commentator, with Joe Tessitore giving the play-by-play and Jeanie Mai serving as sideline correspondent. Each episode consists of 12 contestants competing in three rounds of golf, with three finalists ultimately taking on \u201cMt. Holey Moley.\u201d The winner will be awarded a $25,000 cash prize, \u201cThe Golden Putter\u201d trophy and the <em>Holey Moley<\/em> plaid jacket. Themed holes and celebrity guests will be featured throughout the series.<\/p>\n<p>Rob Mills, senior vice president of alternative series, specials and late night at ABC Entertainment, said: \u201cEveryone has a favorite memory of playing miniature golf, whether it was as a child with your family, with a group of friends as a teenager, or on an awkward first date. Take that feeling, add high stakes competition and out-of-this-world challenges, and we have no doubt <em>Holey Moley<\/em> will stand alongside other golf classics like <em>Caddyshack<\/em>, <em>Happy Gilmore<\/em> and <em>The Legend of Bagger Vance<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnanimous is incredibly excited to partner with ABC on <em>Holey Moley<\/em>,\u201d said Jeron Smith, co-founder and CEO of Unanimous Media. \u201cWe aim to use entertainment as a vehicle to bring families together, and this show will surely bring laughter and enjoyment to households around the country. Miniature golf is a staple pastime, and the show will be fun, intense and unpredictable. Our collective love of sports and family-centric entertainment made this a perfect project for our first television series.
