Among the highlights from Hulu’s TCA presentation, it was revealed that a new partnership with Marvel Television will bring four additional adult animated series and an animated special to its slate of originals.<\/p>\n
The pact will see the two companies working together to create four new Hulu original adult animation series based on popular Marvel Television characters: Marvel\u2019s M.O.D.O.K<\/em>, Marvel\u2019s Hit-Monkey<\/em>, Marvel\u2019s Tigra & Dazzler Show<\/em> and Marvel\u2019s Howard The Duck<\/em>. Joining Hulu\u2019s collection of animated content, the four originals will culminate in a special, Marvel\u2019s The Offenders<\/em>.<\/p>\n Hulu has expanded its slate with series orders for Reprisal<\/em> and The Great<\/em>. Reprisal<\/em> is a hyper-kinetic revenge tale following a relentless femme fatale (Abigail Spencer) who, after being left for dead, leads a vengeful campaign against a bombastic gang of gearheads. It is set to premiere in 2019. The Great<\/em> will follow in 2020. It promises a genre-bending, anti-historical ride through 18th-century Russia following the rise of Catherine the Nothing to Catherine the Great. Elle Fanning stars as Catherine.<\/p>\n Hulu also revealed premiere dates for a number of its 2019 originals. In partnership with Blumhouse Television, the Into The Dark<\/em> horror event series will debut two new installments: April Fools\u2019 Day-themed I\u2019m Just F*cking With You<\/em> on Friday, April 5, and Mother\u2019s Day-themed All That We Destroy<\/em> on Friday, May 3. The upcoming comedy RAMY<\/em> will debut all ten episodes on Friday, April 19. The show follows Ramy Hassan (Ramy Youssef), a first-generation Egyptian-American who is on a spiritual journey in his politically divided New Jersey neighborhood. Ask Dr. Ruth<\/em>, the latest documentary to join Hulu\u2019s slate, will debut on Friday, May 10, with a 20-plus market theatrical release on Friday, May 3.<\/p>\n The limited series Catch-22<\/em>, based on Joseph Heller\u2019s novel of the same name, will debut with all six episodes on Friday, May 17. The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em> will return for season three on Wednesday, June 5, with three new episodes, and subsequent episodes released every Wednesday only on Hulu.<\/p>\n The new comedy series Shrill<\/em>, starring Aidy Bryant, will debut all six episodes on Wednesday, March 15.
