HBO and Netflix have each notched up 20 nominations for the 24th annual Critics’ Choice Awards, while The Americans<\/em>, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story<\/em> and Escape at Dannemora<\/em> topped the list of most-nominated series.<\/p>\n

The Americans<\/em> (FX), The Assassination of Gianni Versace<\/em> and Escape at Dannemora<\/em> (Showtime) landed five nominations each. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em> (Amazon) and Sharp Objects<\/em> (HBO) follow with four each. A Very English Scandal<\/em> (Amazon), Atlanta<\/em> (FX), Barry<\/em> (HBO), Better Call Saul<\/em> (AMC), Genius: Picasso<\/em> (National Geographic), The Good Place<\/em> (NBC), Homecoming<\/em> (Amazon), Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert<\/em> (NBC), Killing Eve<\/em> (BBC America), One Day at a Time<\/em> (Netflix) and The Tale<\/em> (HBO) each received three nominations.<\/p>\n

Up for best drama series are The Americans<\/em>, Better Call Saul<\/em>, The Good Fight<\/em>, Homecoming<\/em>, Killing Eve<\/em>, My Brilliant Friend<\/em>, Pose<\/em> and Succession<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The best actor contenders for drama series are Freddie Highmore for The Good Doctor<\/em>, Diego Luna for Narcos: Mexico<\/em>, Richard Madden for Bodyguard<\/em>, Bob Odenkirk for Better Call Saul<\/em>, Billy Porter for Pose<\/em>, Matthew Rhys for The Americans<\/em> and Milo Ventimiglia for This Is Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The nominees for best actress in a drama are Jodie Comer for Killing Eve<\/em>, Maggie Gyllenhaal for The Deuce<\/em>, Elisabeth Moss for The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em>, Sandra Oh for Killing Eve<\/em>, Elizabeth Olsen for Sorry For Your Loss<\/em>, Julia Roberts for Homecoming<\/em> and Keri Russell for The Americans<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The best comedy series nominees are Atlanta<\/em>, Barry<\/em>, The Good Place<\/em>, The Kominsky Method<\/em>, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em>, The Middle<\/em>, One Day at a Time<\/em> and Schitt\u2019s Creek<\/em>.<\/p>\n

For comedy series, the nominees for best actor are Hank Azaria for Brockmire<\/em>, Ted Danson for The Good Place<\/em>, Michael Douglas for The Kominsky Method<\/em>, Donald Glover for Atlanta<\/em>, Bill Hader for Barry<\/em>, Jim Parsons for The Big Bang Theory<\/em> and Andy Samberg for Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The actress nominees for comedy series are Rachel Bloom for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend<\/em>, Rachel Brosnahan for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em>, Allison Janney for Mom<\/em>, Justina Machado for One Day at a Time<\/em>, Debra Messing for Will & Grace<\/em> and Issa Rae for Insecure<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In regard to limited series, the nominees are A Very English Scandal<\/em>, American Vandal<\/em>, The Assassination of Gianni Versace<\/em>, Escape at Dannemora<\/em>, Genius: Picasso<\/em> and Sharp Objects<\/em>. The crop of nominees for best movie made for TV are Icebox<\/em>, Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert<\/em>, King Lear<\/em>, My Dinner with Herv\u00e9<\/em>, Notes from the Field<\/em> and The Tale<\/em>.<\/p>\n

On the performance side, for limited series or TV movie, the actor nominees are Antonio Banderas for Genius: Picasso<\/em>, Darren Criss for The Assassination of Gianni Versace<\/em>, Paul Dano for Escape at Dannemora<\/em>, Benicio Del Toro for Escape at Dannemora<\/em>, Hugh Grant for A Very English Scandal<\/em> and John Legend for Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Nominated actresses for TV movie or limited series are Amy Adams for Sharp Objects<\/em>, Patricia Arquette for Escape at Dannemora<\/em>, Connie Britton for Dirty John<\/em>, Carrie Coon for The Sinner<\/em>, Laura Dern for The Tale<\/em> and Anna Deavere Smith for Notes from the Field<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The winners will be revealed at the Critics\u2019 Choice Awards gala, broadcast live on The CW on January 13 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Critics\u2019 Choice Awards are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA).<\/p>\n
