Meredith Ahr has been tapped as the president of the alternative and reality group at NBC Entertainment.<\/p>\n
The promotion puts Ahr, head of Universal Television Alternative Studio, in charge of alternative programming across the studio, network and U.S. first-run syndication. The move comes following Paul Telegdy’s promotion to co-chairman of NBC. She reports to Telegdy and fellow co-chairman George Cheeks and oversees development, production, business affairs, sales strategy, casting and talent development for the group.<\/p>\n
