{"id":8814,"date":"2018-06-22T11:53:32","date_gmt":"2018-06-22T15:53:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/lifetime-orders-movies-author-jane-green\/"},"modified":"2018-06-22T11:53:32","modified_gmt":"2018-06-22T15:53:32","slug":"lifetime-orders-movies-from-author-jane-green","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/lifetime-orders-movies-from-author-jane-green\/","title":{"rendered":"Lifetime Orders Movies from Author Jane Green"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lifetime has greenlit a trio of feature movies based on novels written by international best-selling author Jane Green for a 2019 programming event.<\/p>\n<p>The first film in the series, <em>Tempting Fate<\/em>, will star Alyssa Milano (<em>Insatiable<\/em>, <em>Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later<\/em>). It will be executive produced by Green, Kim Raver (<em>Grey&#8217;s Anatomy<\/em>) and Manu Boyer (<em>To Whom It May Concern<\/em>). <em>Tempting Fate<\/em> marks Raver&#8217;s directorial debut with Boyer. The script was written by Jennifer Maisel (<em>Lost Boy<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Green, Raver and Boyer, Dave Fleming and Shane Salerno will executive produce the trio of movies that will all debut on Lifetime next year. Jocelyn Freid (<em>Seeds of Yesterday<\/em>) and Kara Feifer (<em>Time of Your Life<\/em>) are also executive producers on <em>Tempting Fate<\/em>. The other movies in the trio are <em>To Have and to Hold<\/em> and <em>Family Pictures<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jane Green&#8217;s novels are addictive, fun, juicy and wise\u2014just like a great Lifetime Movie\u2014so to bring the two genres together is incredibly thrilling,&#8221; said Tanya Lopez, the executive VP of movies, limited series and original movie acquisitions, Lifetime and LMN. &#8220;With Kim set to direct and Alyssa as the star to kick off the first of the series by Jane, it is the perfect trifecta.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Having been a massive fan of Jane&#8217;s books, it&#8217;s a dream come true for me and my producing partners to be able to bring these powerful female-centric stories to fruition at Lifetime!&#8221;
