{"id":8724,"date":"2018-05-09T09:50:26","date_gmt":"2018-05-09T13:50:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/cbssi-first-look-deal-alon-aranya\/"},"modified":"2018-05-09T11:29:42","modified_gmt":"2018-05-09T15:29:42","slug":"cbssi-in-first-look-deal-with-alon-aranya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/cbssi-in-first-look-deal-with-alon-aranya\/","title":{"rendered":"CBSSI in First-Look Deal with Alon Aranya"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CBS Studios International (CBSSI) has signed a multiyear, first-look deal with writer and producer Alon Aranya and his new company, Paper Plane Productions.<\/p>\n<p>Aranya&#8217;s credits include <em>Hostages<\/em>, based on the Israeli format <em>Bnei Aruba<\/em> and produced for CBS, and <em>Red Widow<\/em>, based on the Dutch format <em>Penoza<\/em>\u00a0and with ABC. Currently, Aranya is collaborating on several projects with CBS Television Studios, including serving as an executive producer on <em>Your Honor<\/em>, which has a series commitment at Showtime and is based on the Israeli format <em>Kvodo<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The deal will include identifying, developing and producing premium programming across a wide range of genres for the international marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to be working with Alon again,\u201d said Meghan Lyvers, senior VP of co-productions and development at CBSSI. \u201cWe share a mutual curiosity for smart, diverse storytelling and look forward to finding new ways we can bring projects to global audiences in this rapidly changing content landscape.
