The comedy series is based on the Angie Dolls that satirize the bourgeois lifestyle of the suburban upper-class in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe fell in love with the Dolls&#8217; irreverent humor from the moment Jessica Biel and Michelle Purple \u2018introduced\u2019 us,\u201d said\u00a0Stephanie Noonan Drachkovitch, 44 Blue&#8217;s president and co-founder. \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to partner with Iron Ocean to bring [Angie Dolls creators] Miranda Darling and Sophie Edelstein\u2019s unique vision to life\u2014we know the outrageous but lovable Dolls are going to make quite an impact when they hit stateside!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are beyond excited to be partnering with 44 Blue Productions to create <em>Going Doll<\/em>, and to share Miranda Darling and Sophie Edelstein\u2019s brilliant and humorous creative minds with audiences,\u201d noted Biel. \u201cThis is different than anything we\u2019ve done before and we can\u2019t wait to bring these eccentric characters to life on-screen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNewly married\u2014and newly moved back to the hometown I had fled as a teenager\u2014I found myself surrounded by a herd of socially aspirational, self-obsessed and, frankly, terrifying women,\u201d added Darling. \u201cTheir conversations, their lives, their values were beyond parody.
