{"id":8615,"date":"2018-03-27T10:25:20","date_gmt":"2018-03-27T14:25:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/starz-orders-original-comedy-now-apocalypse\/"},"modified":"2018-03-27T11:33:59","modified_gmt":"2018-03-27T15:33:59","slug":"starz-orders-original-comedy-now-apocalypse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/starz-orders-original-comedy-now-apocalypse\/","title":{"rendered":"Starz Orders Original Comedy Now Apocalypse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starz has greenlit the half-hour comedy series <em>Now Apocalypse<\/em>, created by Gregg Araki (<em>Kaboom<\/em>, <em>Mysterious Skin<\/em>), who will executive produce alongside Steven Soderbergh (<em>Logan Lucky<\/em>, <em>The Knick<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>The coming-of-age comedy series follows Ulysses and his friends Carly, Ford and Severine, who are on various quests pursuing love, sex and fame. <em>Now Apocalypse<\/em> explores identity, sexuality and artistry while navigating the strange and oftentimes bewildering city of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>Executive producing with Araki and Soderbergh is Gregory Jacobs (<em>Magic Mike XXL<\/em>, <em>Red Oaks<\/em>). All ten half-hour episodes are co-written by author and Vogue.com sex columnist Karley Sciortino, creator and host of <em>Slutever<\/em> on Viceland. Sciortino also serves as a consulting producer.<\/p>\n<p>Starz retains all domestic multiplatform pay-TV and SVOD rights to the series.
