The L.A. office will oversee sales and marketing for the American market, as well as coordinate video acquisitions and cultivation from user-members across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to this appointment, Franklin worked for digital video broadcaster Brave Bison, where he managed its North American YouTube network. Vega previously spent a decade and a half at <em>The New York Times<\/em> and <em>Yahoo News<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Bevan Thomas, Newsflare\u2019s commercial director, said: &#8220;Following on the heels of a successful 2017, Newsflare is poised for continued growth throughout the New Year. Our U.S. office will play an important role in our ongoing expansion serving as the global media\u2019s foremost platform for viral-bound eyewitness videos across all lifestyle, entertainment, human interest and news categories. In addition to unveiling our U.S. operations, we are also pleased to announce Tim Franklin and Richard Vega as Newsflare\u2019s first U.S. appointments, both experienced media executives who bring a wealth of industry expertise to Newsflare.
