This included\u00a0<em>It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em>\u00a0(up by 20 percent),\u00a0<em>The Goldbergs<\/em>\u00a0(20 percent),\u00a0<em>Brooklyn Nine-Nine\u00a0<\/em>(29 percent),\u00a0<em>Parks and Recreation<\/em>\u00a0(32 percent) and\u00a0<em>black-ish<\/em>\u00a0(104 percent).<\/p>\n<p>Hulu also revealed that when it comes to how Americans watch content, they want both live and on-demand. Of the Hulu\u00a0viewers\u00a0with a live-TV plan, about half\u00a0(47 percent)\u00a0watched both live TV and on-demand content\u00a0each day, with\u00a057 percent of those hours consumed by live content and 43 percent consumed by SVOD content.\u00a0When viewers can get live and on-demand all in one place, overall hours watched increases across all content\u00a0by more than 100 percent.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, living room devices were the most popular way of streaming TV content\u2014the same as the year before.\u00a0Viewers also don\u2019t like to watch alone: 59 percent watch with a partner or spouse, 31 percent with children and another 30 percent with friends or other family members.<\/p>\n<p>Americans streamed more than 107 million hours of\u00a0<em>South Park\u00a0<\/em>on Hulu in 2017. <em>Family Guy<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Law &amp; Order: SVU<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Bob\u2019s Burgers<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Rick and Morty<\/em>\u00a0were also popular titles in 2017.\u00a0<em>The\u00a0Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em>, however,\u00a0was the number one viewed Hulu original; and 66 percent of each new episode viewing occurred within the first three days of availability for the hit drama.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In reflecting on what U.S. viewers were streaming in 2017, Hulu has found that viewers\u00a0watched 36 percent more comedy movies than they did in 2016, as well as more comedic TV shows.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":350,"featured_media":8413,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[75,69],"tags":[194],"class_list":["post-8412","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-analysis","category-top-stories","tag-hulu"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
