The movie is based on Tin Winton\u2019s best-selling book of the same name. It is slated to make its theatrical premiere next year.<\/p>\n<p>Co-starring alongside Baker are Elizabeth Debicki (<em>Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2<\/em>), Richard Roxburgh (<em>Moulin Rouge<\/em>), Samson Coulter and Ben Spence. The film was produced by Mark Johnson, Baker and Jamie Hilton, and executive produced by Tom Williams, Dave Hansen, Johnny Mac and Laura Rister. The screenplay was penned by Gerard Lee, Baker and Winton.<\/p>\n<p>Baker stated: &#8220;It\u2019s incredible to know that American audiences will now have the opportunity to experience <em>Breath<\/em> in its full cinematic glory, and I\u2019m excited to be working with FilmRise to foster a successful release.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Danny Fisher, the CEO and president of FilmRise, added: \u201cSimon Baker co-wrote, directed and co-stars in this dark and beautiful adaptation of an iconic novel from his native land, Australia. He portrays this intimate and at times challenging story of both the wonders and dangers of becoming an adult in a beautiful, stark and unexpected light.
