He will be reporting to Gary Barber, chairman and CEO of MGM. Wright will be charged with leading EPIX into its next phase of expanded original programming, leading creative and marketing efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Business operations will continue to be overseen by Monty Sarhan, executive VP and general manager for EPIX. Sarhan will also work closely with Chris Ottinger, MGM\u2019s president of worldwide television distribution and acquisitions, on all distribution matters.<\/p>\n<p>Barber said, \u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Michael into the MGM family. His television industry experience and creative instincts are the perfect combination to help us execute on our original content strategy for EPIX and drive additional value creation for MGM overall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wright commented: \u201cEPIX, under MGM\u2019s ownership, is strongly positioned to excel as a provider of engaging, entertaining original content.
