It also covers new programs like the feature drama <em>Against The Law<\/em>, centered on the infamous Montagu Trial of the 1950s.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cNow\u201d category\u201a which spotlights shows available as soon as 24 hours after their U.K. broadcast, will feature <em>QI<\/em>, part razor-sharp comedy, part trivia quiz show.<\/p>\n<p>Also included is the factual property series <em>Escape to the Country<\/em>, which will soon begin its 25th season.<\/p>\n<p>The SVOD streaming service from BBC Worldwide launched earlier this year in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShowcasing the best of British television is what BritBox is all about,\u201d said Soumya Sriraman, the president of BritBox. \u201cExpanding our offering with content created and distributed by leading British television creators and distributors of Fremantle\u2019s scale and magnitude only catapults us closer to our end goal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to be partnering with BritBox as they continue to build a fan base for top British programming in the U.S.,\u201d said Lisa Honig, the executive VP of international distribution for FremantleMedia International in North America. \u201cWe work with both our in-house FremantleMedia UK and third-party producers to collate a bold, diverse, and exciting catalog of the very best of British programming, and we\u2019re thrilled that U.S. viewers will get to enjoy it via BritBox.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BritBox has penned its first-ever third-party deal, bringing shows from the FremantleMedia International catalog to the SVOD streaming service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":350,"featured_media":8277,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[69],"tags":[1216,202],"class_list":["post-8276","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-top-stories","tag-britbox","tag-fremantlemedia-international"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
