Wyatt Cenac, a comedian and writer from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart<\/em>, is slated to host an upcoming topical documentary series that is due to debut on HBO in spring 2018.<\/p>\n

The 10×30-minute show will see the Emmy winner take a satirical look at social and cultural issues. Executive producers include Cenac, Ezra Edelman (O.J.: Made in America<\/em>), John Oliver (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver<\/em>) and Hallie Haglund (The Daily Show<\/em>), who will also serve as head writer. Diane Fitzgerald (Last Week Tonight<\/em>) will co-executive produce the series, which is being made by Avalon Television.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to give Wyatt this opportunity to showcase his bold take on today\u2019s social issues,\u201d said Nina Rosenstein, the executive VP of HBO programming. \u201cHis ability to tackle tough topics with humor and insight makes this show a perfect addition to our late-night lineup.\u201d<\/p>\n
