The second quarter included five deals greater than $1 billion in value, led by Sinclair Broadcasting&#8217;s acquisition of Tribune Media.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">&#8220;Deal activity in 2017 continues to outpace 2016 as market participants look to secure their footing in the digital value chain and position themselves in anticipation of regulatory changes,&#8221; said\u00a0Bart Spiegel, partner for media and telecommunications deals at PwC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Advertising and internet\u00a0and information take the lead in terms of deal volume (64 and 51, respectively).
