NBC has revealed its 2017-18 schedule, which sees the breakout hit This Is Us<\/em> moving to Thursday nights, paired with the return of Will & Grace<\/em> to revive the “must-see TV” franchise.<\/p>\n

Monday nights will see The Voice<\/em> leading into the freshman drama The Brave<\/em>, in which a team of highly trained analysts and Special Ops forces in Washington, D.C., work together to execute missions in some of the most dangerous places in the world.<\/p>\n

On Tuesdays, The Voice<\/em> will provide a lead-in for the returning comedies Superstore<\/em> and The Good Place<\/em>. The night wraps with Chicago Fire<\/em> returning to its 10 p.m. time slot.<\/p>\n

The Blacklist<\/em> moves to the 8 p.m. slot on Wednesdays, a night packed with returning dramas: Law & Order: SVU<\/em> at 9 p.m. and Chicago P.D.<\/em> at 10 p.m.<\/p>\n

Thursdays will be the anchor of the new schedule, leading off with the return of Will & Grace<\/em>. This will be followed by the sophomore season of the comedy Great News<\/em>, and This Is Us<\/em> moves into the 9 p.m. slot on its new night. Dick Wolf\u2019s new true-crime event series Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders<\/em> will cap off the evening. Also, This Is Us<\/em> has landed the coveted post-Super Bowl slot on February 4, 2018.<\/p>\n

Blindspot<\/em> moves to Fridays at 8 p.m., followed by the returning drama Taken<\/em>. The long-running Dateline NBC<\/em> holds down the 10 p.m. hour.<\/p>\n

Saturdays continue to feature Dateline Saturday Night Mystery<\/em> and Saturday Night Live<\/em> encores. Sundays will be dominated by football. After the NFL season, Sundays will feature Little Big Shots<\/em>, Ellen\u2019s Game of Games<\/em> from Ellen DeGeneres and the return of Jennifer Lopez’s Shades of Blue<\/em>.<\/p>\n

New dramas that will launch in midseason include Rise<\/em>, from Parenthood<\/em> and Friday Night Lights<\/em> producer Jason Katims and Hamilton<\/em> producer Jeffrey Seller. It stars Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother<\/em>), Rosie Perez (Oscar nominee) and Auli\u2019i Cravalho (Moana<\/em>). Also coming midseason, Good Girls<\/em> is from executive producer Jenna Bans (Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em>, Scandal<\/em>). The show is billed as a mix of Thelma & Louise<\/em> with Breaking Bad<\/em>. Reverie<\/em>, starring Sarah Shahi, is also set for midseason.\u00a0Timeless<\/em>, which was previously thought to be canceled, will return.<\/p>\n

In the way of comedies, premiering later this season are A.P. Bio<\/em> from executive producers Lorne Michaels and Seth Meyers, and Champions<\/em>, from Charlie Grandy (The Office<\/em>) and Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project<\/em>).<\/p>\n

New alternative series include The Awesome Show<\/em>, from executive producers Chris Hardwick (The Wall<\/em>), Mark Burnett (The Voice<\/em>) and Silicon Valley\u2019s Singularity University; Genius Junior<\/em>, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris; and The Handmade Project<\/em>, from executive producers Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman.<\/p>\n

This Is Us<\/em> has quickly become a defining moment for the NBC brand, and we look forward to launching bold new series such as The Brave<\/em>, Rise<\/em>, Reverie<\/em>\u00a0and Good Girls<\/em>. Our comedy profile, too, is starting to hit its stride, and we\u2019re thrilled to welcome new comedies with sought-after producers such as Mindy Kaling, Lorne Michaels and Seth Meyers.\u201d<\/p>\n
