Joel Stillerman, the former president of original programming and development at AMC and SundanceTV, will join Hulu in the newly created role of chief content officer.<\/p>\n
Stillerman will be responsible for evolving and driving the overall content strategy for Hulu and will oversee content acquisitions, originals development and content partner management teams. He will join Hulu\u2019s senior management team this summer and will report directly to CEO Mike Hopkins.<\/p>\n
During his near-decade-long tenure at AMC Networks, Stillerman spearheaded an aggressive development slate for AMC, including\u00a0The Walking Dead<\/em>, as well as\u00a0Fear the Walking Dead<\/em>, Better Call Saul<\/em>,\u00a0Into the Badlands\u00a0<\/em>and The Night Manager<\/em>.<\/p>\n Craig Erwich will maintain his current role as Hulu\u2019s senior VP and head of content, and he will increase his focus on the company\u2019s original programming.<\/p>\n Hopkins commented: \u201cThis year is a transformative year for Hulu\u2014not just in our products, but also our investment in acquired and original content.
