Season-to-date, <em>The Simpsons<\/em> is averaging 7.2 million total multiplatform viewers.\u00a0The series\u2019 milestone 600th\u00a0episode\u00a0on October 16 registered its largest rating (3.6\/11 Live + 7) and seven-day multiplatform audience (9.9 million viewers) since January.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTake that <em>Gunsmoke<\/em>! You lost a race you didn&#8217;t even know you were running!\u201d said Homer Simpson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is yet another\u00a0record-setting moment\u00a0for what is truly a landmark series,\u201d said Dana Walden and Gary Newman, chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group. \u201c<em>The Simpsons<\/em> has meant so much to the network, the studio and everyone at Fox, and its continued\u00a0cultural impact around the globe is a testament to the combined brilliance of Matt, Jim and Al.
