{"id":7388,"date":"2016-10-11T13:49:54","date_gmt":"2016-10-11T17:49:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/mipcom-spotlight-vision-films\/"},"modified":"2016-10-11T15:13:22","modified_gmt":"2016-10-11T19:13:22","slug":"mipcom-spotlight-vision-films-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/mipcom-spotlight-vision-films-2\/","title":{"rendered":"MIPCOM Spotlight: Vision Films"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CANNES: One of the\u00a0titles\u00a0being presented by Vision Films at the market\u00a0is <em>True Health: Body, Mind, Spirit<\/em>, a new series that looks at how to live a happy and healthy life from the inside out.<\/p>\n<p>The company is also offering up the new holiday\u00a0movies <em>A Doggone Christmas<\/em> and <em>A Miracle On Christmas Lake<\/em>; the comedy <em>Sam<\/em>, which marks the directorial debut of Mel Brooks&#8217; son; and the animated feature <em>Gadgetgang\u00a0in Outer Space<\/em>, which Lise Romanoff, the managing director and CEO of worldwide distribution at Vision Films, describes as &#8220;<em>Star Wars<\/em> meets <em>The Minions<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our newest documentaries consist of<em> How The Beatles Changed the World<\/em>, [about] the cultural, social, spiritual and musical revolution ignited by The Beatles; <em>Hamilton: One Shot to Broadway<\/em>, an unlikely marriage of hip-hop and history; and three brand-new nature documentaries deliverable in 4K: <em>Evolution<\/em>, <em>The Red Sea<\/em> and <em>The Great Barrier Reef<\/em>,&#8221; says Romanoff.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We choose films with a diverse and universal appeal,&#8221; she\u00a0adds. &#8220;We are seeking both feature films and documentary acquisitions for our domestic division that recently secured an output deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
