CULVER CITY: getTV is expanding its Monday Night Variety Block with the addition of classic episodes of hit variety shows featuring Sonny Bono and Cher.<\/p>\n

The Monday Night Variety Block lineup will feature handpicked episodes of several\u00a0hit variety shows featuring the former husband-and-wife duo, including The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour<\/em>, Cher<\/em> and The Sonny & Cher Show<\/em>. These shows will air every Monday at 8 p.m., beginning September 12. Many of the episodes slated to run on getTV have not been seen on the small screen\u00a0in more than a decade.<\/p>\n

The programming block will kick off with three weeks of The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour<\/em>, featuring guest stars such as Jimmy Durante, Jean Stapleton, Andy Griffith, Frankie Vallie, Burt Reynolds and more. Throughout the year, the Monday Night Variety Block lineup will also feature Cher<\/em> and The Sonny & Cher Show<\/em>, including episodes with big-name guest stars such as Betty White, Elton John, The Jackson 5, Muhammad Ali, Don Knotts, David Bowie, Carol Burnett and more.<\/p>\n

Jeff Meier, the senior VP of programming at getTV, said, \u201cLast year, getTV brought back Judy Garland to our Monday Night Variety Block. And this year, we believe the only entertainer who can possibly follow her is Cher.
