MTV Classic launches with <em>MTV Hour One<\/em>, the first hour of programming from MTV in 1981. There will also be the <em>Total Request Live<\/em> retrospective <em>The TRL Decade<\/em>, leading into a prime-time animation block with <em>Daria<\/em>, <em>Beavis &amp; Butt-head<\/em> and <em>Aeon Flux<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>MTV Classic will feature programming blocks Monday through Thursdays from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. delivering its library hits. Every Friday there will be a classic music series in prime time, including <em>MTV Unplugged<\/em> and <em>Storytellers<\/em>. On weekends, viewers will be able to binge watch with marathons of <em>The Real World<\/em>, <em>Laguna Beach<\/em>, <em>Road Rules<\/em> and more. The network will also deliver movies, concerts and music videos from the past.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom <em>Beavis &amp; Butt-head<\/em> to <em>Laguna Beach<\/em>, MTV\u2019s programming vault is a music and pop culture goldmine with universal resonance,\u201d said Sean Atkins, the president of MTV. \u201cMTV Classic gives audiences a modern and artful home for classic MTV programming and\u2014alongside MTV, MTV2, MTV Live and mtvU\u2014rounds out a diverse portfolio with music and youth culture at its core.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW YORK: VH1 Classic is being rebranded as MTV Classic, with a programming lineup to feature hits from the 1990s and early 2000s like Beavis &#038;
