LOS ANGELES: Twentieth Century Fox Television has appointed Brandon Brito and Cheryl Dolins to lead the studio\u2019s drama and comedy teams, respectively.<\/p>\n

Brito has been named senior VP of drama development. He has been at Fox 21 Television Studios serving as VP of scripted, a post that saw him involved in the development and launch of series such as FX\u2019s Tyrant<\/em>, WGN\u2019s Salem<\/em> and A&E\u2019s Damien<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Dolins becomes senior VP of comedy development. She had been serving as senior VP of Alloy Entertainment, where she led all development and current programming for the company\u2019s TV department.\u00a0She was previously senior VP of comedy development at NBC Entertainment, where she led the development of all NBC comedies.<\/p>\n

Both Brito and Dolins report to Michael Thorn, 20th Century Fox Television’s executive VP of development.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrandon and Cheryl both have backgrounds not just as developers, but as producers as well, which makes them the ideal executives to lead our drama and comedy teams in this highly competitive environment,\u201d said Thorn.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrandon has a reputation as a well-respected and aggressive creative exec, and he already has relationships and a shorthand with many of our producers. He\u2019s done great work at Fox 21, and he couldn\u2019t have asked for a more talented or strategic mentor than Bert Salke, who has been incredibly generous and supportive of his taking on this new assignment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI first worked with Cheryl at NBC, where she led the development of some of their most significant comedies, from 30 Rock<\/em> to The Office<\/em>,\u201d Thorn continued. \u201cShe is tremendously accomplished in the comedy space, and many companies have been trying to lure her back to the executive ranks for years.
