LOS ANGELES: Shout! Factory has hired Jeremy Whitham, a\u00a0seasoned executive and producer, for the newly created position of development director at\u00a0Shout! Factory Productions.<\/p>\n
Whitham is\u00a0responsible for Shout!’s premium content development for TV\u00a0and digital entertainment services,\u00a0continuing to expand the company’s new series and film production businesses. He will collaborate with Shout! Factory founders Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos, as well as Jordan Fields, the company’s VP of acquisitions and film development. He will oversee the conception of new creative projects and build\u00a0new production partnerships for series and movies.<\/p>\n
Whitham has been developing successful formats for television for more than\u00a015 years. He most recently served as VP of development at Smart Dog Media, where he helped develop formats that were broadcast on such channels\u00a0as NBC, Syfy, Food Network and HISTORY. Earlier in his career, he worked for BBC Worldwide Productions as a key executive for BBC’s first L.A.-based development team charged with producing series\u00a0for prime-time TV and syndication.<\/p>\n
