He will help cultivate and expand new and existing digital streaming services while also exploring the potential of new platforms in the development of the next generation of premium content. He will continue to serve as CEO of CBS Interactive.<\/p>\n<p>Lanzone joined CBS Interactive as president in 2011 and was elevated to CEO in 2013. Prior to that, he co-founded and served as CEO of Clicker Media, which was acquired by CBS in 2011. Earlier in his career, he was the CEO of Ask.com, a global web property and search engine previously known as Ask Jeeves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very pleased today to be expanding Jim\u2019s role in the development of this increasingly important part of our company,\u201d said Leslie Moonves, the chairman and CEO of CBS Corporation. \u201cFor the past five years, Jim has built a successful business and organization at CBS Interactive, which is now a thriving and profitable operation\u2014and one of our most exciting growth engines as we move to build CBS All Access, CBSN and many other important initiatives in the digital space.
