LOS ANGELES: Former Endemol Shine North America exec Michael Minden has joined MGM Television as executive VP of business and legal affairs for scripted television.<\/p>\n

In this role, Minden will oversee the business and legal affairs for MGM Television\u2019s scripted projects, including development and production deals across scripted television. He will also negotiate network, cable, digital and talent agreements. Minden will report directly to Brian Edwards, the executive VP of MGM\u2019s television operations, and also to Chief Legal Officer Lesley Freeman when she joins the company in July.<\/p>\n

Minden most recently served as the senior VP of business affairs and the head of entertainment legal at Endemol Shine North America and Shine America. He also spent nearly a decade in business and legal affairs across various Viacom platforms.<\/p>\n

Edwards said: \u201cWe\u2019re excited to have Mike join MGM\u2019s scripted television team. He\u2019s built great relationships throughout his career and brings wide, valuable experience to the company.\u201d<\/p>\n

Minden added: \u201cThis couldn\u2019t be a more exciting time to come aboard MGM Television with so many incredible projects in the pipeline. I\u2019m energized by the opportunity to work alongside this dynamic team.\u201d<\/p>\n

As part of the transition, Laura Black Dawson will be moving on from MGM. \u201cLaura has done a terrific job at MGM and we wish her all the best for the future,\u201d\u00a0said Edwards.<\/p>\n

Shelley Reid, the executive VP of business and legal affairs for MGM Television, will continue on in her role, reporting to Minden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
