NEW YORK: FOX unveiled its prime-time slate for the 2016-17 season with more original programming than ever before, including the fall dramas The Exorcist<\/em> and Lethal Weapon<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Starting in the fall, Monday nights will see the pairing of Gotham<\/em> and Lucifer<\/em>. Tuesdays begin with the returning comedies Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em> and New Girl<\/em>, with Scream Queens<\/em> closing out the night.<\/p>\n

The new drama Lethal Weapon<\/em>, based on the hit movie franchise of the same name, leads off Wednesdays in the fall. The show will star Clayne Crawford (Rectify<\/em>) and Damon Wayans, Sr. (My Wife and Kids<\/em>, In Living Color<\/em>). Lethal Weapon<\/em> will serve as a lead-in to the popular returning show Empire<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Thursdays are stacked with Rosewood<\/em> and Bones<\/em>, which will run in its final season.<\/p>\n

Friday nights in the fall begin with Hell’s Kitchen<\/em> and wrap with The Exorcist<\/em>, a contemporary thriller based on the classic horror movie. The new drama will see two very different priests tackling one family’s case of demonic possession. The series stars Alfonso Herrera (Sense8<\/em>, The Chosen<\/em>), Ben Daniels (Flesh and Bone<\/em>, House of Cards<\/em>) and Geena Davis (Commander in Chief<\/em>, Thelma & Louise<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Saturdays are dedicated to college football. Sundays begin with NFL action, then alternate between The OT<\/em> and Bob’s Burgers<\/em> in the 7:30 p.m. slot. The Simpsons<\/em> holds down the 8 p.m. hour, leading into the freshman comedy Son of Zorn<\/em>, a live-action\/animated hybrid. The show features the voice of Jason Sudeikis (The Last Man on Earth<\/em>, Horrible Bosses<\/em>, We’re the Millers<\/em>). Family Guy<\/em> and The Last Man<\/em> on Earth<\/em> round out Sundays in the fall.<\/p>\n

Midseason, the new 24 <\/em>reboot, 24: Legacy<\/em>, makes its debut on Mondays at 8 p.m., with Gotham<\/em> in the spring. The 9 p.m. slot features APB<\/em>, a new police drama from Len Wiseman (Lucifer<\/em>, Underworld<\/em>) and executive producer\/writer Matt Nix (Burn Notice<\/em>), and Lucifer<\/em> in the spring.<\/p>\n

Tuesdays midseason will feature New Girl<\/em> and Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em> (spring) at 8 p.m., followed by The Mick<\/em>, a new single-camera comedy starring Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em>) at 8:30 p.m. Kicking & Screaming<\/em>, a competition series that sees ten expert survivalists paired with pampered partners, will have its premiere run at 9 p.m., giving way to Pitch<\/em>, which tells the story of the first female pitcher in Major League Baseball, in the spring.<\/p>\n

The midseason Wednesday lineup sees Lethal Weapon<\/em> at 8 p.m. and Shots Fired<\/em>, an event series that follows the aftermath of racially charged shootings in the South, in the spring. The 9 p.m. hour will be held by Star<\/em>, a brand-new drama headlined by Queen Latifah (Bessie<\/em>, Bringing Down the House<\/em>) and Benjamin Bratt (24: Live Another Day<\/em>, Law & Order<\/em>), and Empire<\/em> in the spring.<\/p>\n

Thursdays will see the brand-new Prison Break<\/em> series debuting at 9 p.m., with a lead-in from Rosewood<\/em>. Fridays have MasterChef Junior<\/em> paired with Sleepy Hollow<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Saturdays remain dedicated to sports, while Sundays feature the animated block of Bob’s Burgers<\/em> and The Simpsons<\/em>, leading into the new comedy Making History<\/em>, about three friends from two different centuries who balance the thrill of time travel with the mundane concerns of everyday life. The evening goes out with Family Guy<\/em> and The<\/em> Last Man on Earth<\/em>.<\/p>\n
