{"id":6941,"date":"2016-04-19T13:17:16","date_gmt":"2016-04-19T17:17:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/crackle-comes-to-comcasts-xfinity\/"},"modified":"2016-04-19T15:11:50","modified_gmt":"2016-04-19T19:11:50","slug":"crackle-comes-to-comcasts-xfinity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/crackle-comes-to-comcasts-xfinity\/","title":{"rendered":"Crackle Comes to Comcast\u2019s Xfinity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW YORK: Sony&#8217;s Crackle is launching on Comcast\u2019s Xfinity tomorrow, April 20, coinciding with the ad-supported streaming network\u2019s annual Upfront presentation.<\/p>\n<p>This marks Crackle\u2019s first content deal with a cable distribution partner and sees the streaming network\u2019s original programming become available to all Xfinity TV subscribers across platforms via Xfinity On Demand. In addition to being distributed as part of Comcast&#8217;s cable service via Xfinity On Demand, Crackle&#8217;s premium, original long-form content will be available for TV Everywhere viewing via the Xfinity TV app and website.<\/p>\n<p>Original titles coming to Xfinity include <em>Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee<\/em>, <em>SuperMansion<\/em>, <em>The Art of More<\/em>, <em>Sports Jeopardy<\/em> and more. Additional Crackle originals and licensed programs will roll out in the coming months, and select titles will launch this week, aligned with Xfinity&#8217;s fourth annual TV-viewing event, Watchathon Week.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our deal with Comcast expands the reach of our content to new audiences across Xfinity On Demand platforms,&#8221; said Eric Berger, the executive VP of digital networks at Sony Pictures Television and general manager of Crackle. &#8220;Now, millions of viewers will be able to access Crackle&#8217;s original programming on demand, without having to leave their set-top box environment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are pleased to bring Crackle&#8217;s collection of premium, long-form content to our 22 million video subscribers,&#8221; said Franz Kurath, the VP of content acquisition at Comcast Cable. &#8220;We are continually expanding our on-demand content offering and Crackle&#8217;s growing portfolio of high-quality original series is a unique and valuable addition to our Xfinity On Demand platform.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Crackle is also available via PlayStation, Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Xbox and Roku, among other devices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW YORK: Sony&#8217;s Crackle is launching on Comcast\u2019s Xfinity tomorrow, April 20, coinciding with the ad-supported streaming network\u2019s annual Upfront presentation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":477,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[69],"tags":[472,552,149,553,554],"class_list":["post-6941","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","","category-top-stories","tag-comcast","tag-crackle","tag-sony-pictures-television","tag-xfinity-on-demand","tag-xfinity-tv"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
