The show stars Leo Howard (<em>Kickin\u2019 It<\/em>), Liza Koshy (<em>Boo! A Madea Halloween<\/em>), Adam Hicks (<em>Zeke and Luther<\/em>), Aislinn Paul (<em>Degrassi: The Next Generation<\/em>) and Tyler Chase (<em>The Walking Dead<\/em>), among others. It is currently in production for release on Hulu later this year.<\/p>\n<p><em>Freakish<\/em> was created by Beth Szymkowski (AwesomenessTV&#8217;s <em>Runaways<\/em>). The series is exec produced by Brian Robbins, Shelley Zimmerman, Szymkowski, Matt Lewis and Chris Grismer, with Scott Levine serving as producer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Gen Z audience craves binge-worthy, on-demand entertainment, which is why we\u2019re excited to be in business with Hulu,\u201d said Zimmerman, executive producer and head of scripted series for AwesomenessTV. \u201cBrian Robbins and I have had a longstanding relationship with Craig Erwich, and we look forward to collaborating with him and his team to bring <em>Freakish<\/em> to Hulu.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hulu also recently acquired the exclusive U.S. streaming VOD rights for two feature-length docs from Awesomeness Films: <em>Snervous<\/em>, which comes from YouTube and social media sensation Tyler Oakley, and <em>Janoskians: Untold and Untrue<\/em>, an uncensored mockumentary and concert special from the Australian comedy group.
