MUNICH: Red Arrow International has appointed Shirley Bowers, who previously worked at National Geographic Channels, as its new VP of sales and acquisitions for North America.<\/p>\n
In this new post, Bowers will be tasked with leading Red Arrow\u2019s sales activities in the U.S. and Canada. She will also work across North American acquisitions alongside Red Arrow\u2019s scripted and non-scripted acquisitions teams. Bowers will report directly to Bo Stehmeier, the senior VP of global sales, and will be based in New York.<\/p>\n
Bowers held several roles at National Geographic Channels, including director of global content sales, and evaluator of program scheduling and acquisitions. She has also served as director of global content sales at FOX International Channels, a banner that was recently discontinued.<\/p>\n
Henrik Pabst, the managing director of Red Arrow International, said: \u201cIt is great that Shirley is joining us. She brings an impressive depth of experience in both sales and acquisitions, and a fundamental understanding of the North American market. Red Arrow as a group now has seven production companies based in the U.S., and as we continue to grow as both a producer and distributor, Shirley\u2019s relationships with North American broadcasters, platforms and producers will prove invaluable.\u201d<\/p>\n
