LOS ANGELES: The nominees for the Critics\u2019 Choice Awards have been announced, with Fargo <\/em>leading on the series side with eight nominations.<\/p>\n

ABC, HBO and FX led for networks with 14 nominations each, followed by FOX with 12. As for streaming services, Amazon landed eight nods and Netflix scored five.<\/p>\n

Because of the new combined Critics\u2019 Choice Awards format, only TV shows airing primarily within the seven months from June 1 to December 31 were eligible for nomination.<\/p>\n

The nominees for best drama series are Empire<\/em>, Mr. Robot<\/em>, Penny Dreadful<\/em>, Rectify<\/em>, The Knick<\/em>, The Leftovers<\/em> and UnREAL<\/em>. On the performance side, the best actor nods for TV drama went to Hugh Dancy for Hannibal<\/em>, Rami Malek for Mr. Robot<\/em>, Clive Owen for The Knick<\/em>, Liev Schreiber for Ray Donovan<\/em>, Justin Theroux for The Leftovers <\/em>and Aden Young for Rectify<\/em>. The nominees for best actress in the same category are Shiri Appleby for UnREAL<\/em>, Carrie Coon for The Leftovers<\/em>, Viola Davis<\/a> for How to Get Away With Murder<\/em>, Eva Green for Penny Dreadful<\/em>, Taraji P. Henson for Empire<\/em> and Krysten Ritter for Jessica Jones<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The series nominated for best comedy are Black-ish<\/em>, Catastrophe<\/em>, Jane the Virgin<\/em>, Master of None<\/em>, The Last Man on Earth<\/em>, Transparent<\/em> and You\u2019re the Worst<\/em>. The best actor in a TV comedy nominees are Anthony Anderson for Black-ish<\/em>, Aziz Ansari for Master of None<\/em>, Will Forte for The Last Man on Earth<\/em>, Randall Park for Fresh Off the Boat<\/em>, Fred Savage for The Grinder<\/em> and Jeffrey Tambor<\/a> for Transparent<\/em>. In the best actress category, comedy series nods went to Rachel Bloom for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend<\/em>, Aya Cash for You\u2019re the Worst<\/em>, Wendi McLendon-Covey for The Goldbergs<\/em>, Gina Rodriguez<\/a> for Jane the Virgin<\/em>, Tracee Ellis Ross for Black-ish <\/em>and Constance Wu\u00a0for Fresh Off the Boat<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In the best movie made for TV or limited series arena, Fargo <\/em>is nominated alongside Luther<\/em>, Saints & Strangers<\/em>, Show Me a Hero<\/em>, Childhood’s End<\/em>\u00a0and The Wiz Live! <\/em>The best actor nominees for this category are Wes Bentley for American Horror Story: Hotel<\/em>, Martin Clunes for Arthur & George<\/em>, Idris Elba<\/a> for Luther<\/em>, Oscar Isaac for Show Me a Hero<\/em>, Vincent Kartheiser for Saints & Strangers<\/em> and Patrick Wilson for Fargo<\/em>. Up for best actress in this category are American Horror Story: Hotel<\/em>‘s Kathy Bates<\/a>, Fargo<\/em>‘s Kirsten Dunst, Flesh and Bone<\/em>‘s Sarah Hay, Dolly Parton\u2019s Coat of Many Colors<\/em>‘ Alyvia Alyn Lind, True Detective<\/em>‘s Rachel McAdams and The Wiz Live!<\/em>‘s Shanice Williams.<\/p>\n

In the category for best structured reality show are Antiques Roadshow<\/em>, Inside the Actors Studio<\/em>, MythBusters<\/em>, Project Greenlight<\/em>, Shark Tank <\/em>and Undercover Boss<\/em>. The nominees for best unstructured reality show are Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown<\/em>, Cops<\/em>, Deadliest Catch<\/em>, Intervention<\/em>, Naked and Afraid <\/em>and Pawn Stars<\/em>. The Critics\u2019 Choice Awards are voted by members of the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA).
