LOS ANGELES: The nominees for the 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards have been announced, with returning hits, including Game of Thrones<\/em>, Homeland <\/em>and House of Cards<\/em>, leading in TV categories.<\/p>\n

Netflix leads for nominations by network for TV programs, with eight. HBO followed with six, then Showtime (5), AMC (4) and ABC, CBS, Lifetime and PBS each received three.<\/p>\n

Game of Thrones<\/em>, House of Cards <\/em>and Homeland <\/em>had the most nominations on the TV side, with three each. They are all up for the best ensemble in a drama series award, competing against Downton Abbey <\/em>and Mad Men<\/em>. Also in drama, male performance nominees are Game of Thrones<\/em>‘ Peter Dinklage, Mad Men<\/em>‘s Jon Hamm<\/a>, Better Call Saul<\/em>‘s Bob Odenkirk, House of Cards<\/em>‘ Kevin Spacey<\/a> and Mr. Robot<\/em>‘s Rami Malek. Female nominees for outstanding performance in a drama series are Claire Danes<\/a>, (Homeland<\/em>), Viola Davis<\/a> (How to Get Away with Murder<\/em>), Julianna Margulies<\/a> (The Good Wife<\/em>), Maggie Smith (Downton Abbey<\/em>) and Robin Wright (House of Cards<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The casts of The Big Bang Theory<\/em>, Key & Peele<\/em>, Modern Family<\/em>, Orange Is the New Black<\/em>, Transparent<\/em> and Veep <\/em>are up for the win for best ensemble in a comedy series. Individual performance nods went to Ty Burrell (Modern Family<\/em>), Louis C.K. (Louie<\/em>), William H. Macy (Shameless<\/em>), Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory<\/em>) and Jeffrey Tambor<\/a> (Transparent<\/em>) in the actor category and Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black<\/em>), Edie Falco<\/a> (Nurse Jackie<\/em>), Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt<\/em>), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep<\/em>) and Amy Poehler<\/a> (Parks & Recreation<\/em>) for best actress.<\/p>\n

In the miniseries\/TV movie arena, the best actor nominees are Luther<\/em>‘s Idris Elba<\/a>, Tut<\/em>‘s Ben Kingsley<\/a>, Texas Rising<\/em>‘s Ray Liotta<\/a>, A Very Murray Christmas<\/em>‘s Bill Murray and Wolf Hall<\/em>‘s Mark Rylance. The actress nominees are Nicole Kidman (Grace of Monaco<\/em>), Queen Latifah (Bessie<\/em>), Christina Ricci (The Lizzie Borden Chronicles<\/em>), Susan Sarandon (The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe<\/em>) and Kristen Wiig (The Spoils Before Dying<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The shows that received nominations for stunt ensemble in a comedy or drama series are The Blacklist<\/em>, Game of Thrones<\/em>, Homeland<\/em>, Marvel’s Daredevil <\/em>and The Walking Dead<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The awards will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on January 30, 2016 at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
