The upcoming merchandising line will span such categories as apparel, gift and novelty and collectibles. Items will become available for purchase next year.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe original <em>Hawaii Five-0 <\/em>was created by Leonard Freeman. It premiered in 1968 and ran for 12 seasons. The new version, which began broadcasting on CBS in 2010, aired its 100th episode last season.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&quot;<em>Hawaii Five-0<\/em> has become an integral part of pop culture,&quot; said Liz Kalodner, the executive VP and general manager of CBS Consumer Products. &quot;Not only does the franchise span generations, it celebrates the local culture and adventurous spirit of Hawaii.
