{"id":6314,"date":"2015-05-07T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-05-07T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/2015\/05\/07\/adult-swim-unveils-new-series-specials-for-2015-16\/"},"modified":"2015-05-07T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-05-07T00:00:00","slug":"adult-swim-unveils-new-series-specials-for-2015-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/adult-swim-unveils-new-series-specials-for-2015-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Adult Swim Unveils New Series &amp; Specials for 2015-16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tATLANTA: As part of the Turner Upfront in New York, Adult Swim has revealed a 2015-16 programming lineup featuring more than 30 new and returning titles.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAmong the original series and specials are <em>TV Sucks<\/em>, a new quarter-hour animated sketch show; a half-hour, live-action special centering on golf that&#039;s executive produced by Jon Daly (<em>Kroll Show<\/em>); the half-hour, live-action miniseries <em>Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter<\/em>; two new <em>Tim &amp; Eric&rsquo;s Bedtime Stories<\/em> specials; a third installment of Brett Gelman&rsquo;s <em>Dinner<\/em> series; and <em>Robot Chicken DC Comics Special III: Friendship Is Magic<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSeveral pilots have also been ordered, including <em>Bad Guys<\/em>, <em>Mr. Neighbor&rsquo;s House<\/em>, <em>Ballmastrz 9669<\/em>, <em>Apollo Gauntlet<\/em>, <em>Bubblegoose and Juice<\/em>, <em>Hot Streets<\/em>, <em>Doble Fried<\/em>, <em>Fisthead<\/em> and <em>The Pound Hole<\/em>, among others. Returning original series are <em>Aqua Teen Hunger Force Forever<\/em>, <em>Black Jesus<\/em>, <em>Childrens Hospital<\/em>, <em>The Eric Andre Show<\/em>, <em>The Jack and Triumph Show<\/em>, <em>Rick and Morty<\/em>, <em>The Venture Bros.<\/em> and <em>Robot Chicken<\/em>, to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAdditionally, the network has acquired <em>Kill La Kill<\/em> and <em>Sword Art Online II<\/em>, with returning acquisitions including <em>American Dad<\/em>, <em>Bob&rsquo;s Burgers<\/em>, <em>Family Guy<\/em> and <em>King of the Hill<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&ldquo;Adult Swim has always been known as a place for taking risks and for great talent trying interesting things,&rdquo; said Christina Miller, the president and general manager of Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang. &ldquo;Mike [Lazzo] and his team continue to raise the bar, always knowing what the Adult Swim fan wants, and this new slate of original programming adds to our growing lineup of successful prime-time comedies.&rdquo;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ATLANTA: As part of the Turner Upfront in New York, Adult Swim has revealed a 2015-16 programming lineup featuring more than 30 new and returning titles.
