\n\tNEW YORK: NBCUniversal has hired Evan Shapiro as executive VP of digital enterprises, a newly created post for the company.<\/p>\n

\n\tShapiro steps into the role as of December 8 and will be based in New York. He will report to Cesar Conde, the executive VP of NBCU. Shapiro comes to the company after having served as president of Participant Media's Pivot, which he helped to launch in August 2013. Prior to that, he was president of the IFC and Sundance channels.<\/p>\n
