Up 31 Percent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tLOS ANGELES: On-location TV production in Los Angeles increased 31.1 percent in Q3 compared to the prior year, with dramas being a particularly strong segment of business.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAccording to FilmL.A., nearly all TV categories posted gains in the third quarter. TV dramas increased 43.2 percent, reality rose 49.2 percent and web-based TV went up 12.3 percent. TV pilot production gained 40.8 percent. TV sitcoms, which represent the smallest portion of the filming, dipped 29 percent for the quarter.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tCalifornia&#039;s current film incentive contributed to the local TV drama numbers. Last quarter, the state-qualified projects in L.A. included <em>Rizzoli &amp; Isles<\/em>, <em>Pretty Little Liars<\/em>, <em>Major Crimes<\/em>, <em>Perception <\/em>and <em>Legends<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&ldquo;While we are still trying to reclaim our share of television production, we&rsquo;re encouraged by dramatic television producers&rsquo; interest in filming in Los Angeles,&rdquo; said FilmL.A.&#039;s president, Paul Audley. &ldquo;With the new tax credit taking effect next July, we see strong potential for growth in local TV work ahead.&rdquo;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES: On-location TV production in Los Angeles increased 31.1 percent in Q3 compared to the prior year, with dramas being a particularly strong segment of business.
