\n\tLOS ANGELES: Last night's 66th Primetime Emmy Awards saw Sherlock: His Last Vow <\/em>scoring the most wins, followed closely by Breaking Bad<\/em>, which won for best drama.<\/p>\n

\n\tBreaking Bad <\/em>was this year's outstanding drama series. Star Bryan Cranston<\/a> won for lead actor in drama, while co-stars Aaron Paul and Anna Gunn each received supporting nods. Julianna Margulies took the lead actress in a drama win for The Good Wife<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tModern Family <\/em>nabbed a trio of awards, including outstanding comedy series. Ty Burrell of Modern Family <\/em>was named outstanding supporting actor in a comedy, while supporting actress went to Allison Janney of Mom<\/em>. Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory <\/em>was the winner for lead actor in a comedy, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus was named outstanding lead actress for Veep<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tFargo <\/em>took the win for outstanding miniseries, movie or dramatic special, a category that saw Sherlock <\/em>and American Horror Story: Coven <\/em>taking double performance wins. Lead performance went to Benedict Cumberbatch for Sherlock <\/em>and Jessica Lange for American Horror Story: Coven<\/em>. Coven <\/em>co-star Kathy Bates received a win in the supporting category, as did Sherlock<\/em>'s Martin Freeman. Sherlock<\/em>'s Steven Moffat<\/a> landed the Emmy for outstanding writing for a miniseries, movie or dramatic special. The Normal Heart <\/em>topped the TV movie category.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Amazing Race <\/em>continued its dominance in the reality-competition category. Outstanding variety series went to The Colbert Report<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tBy network, HBO landed the most Emmys, followed by CBS, then PBS, NBC and ABC. The rest of the top 10, in order, were FX, FOX, Netflix, AMC and Discovery Channel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
