\n\tLOS ANGELES: ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC are all dedicating airtime to the live one-hour fundraising event Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C) on September 5, along with a slew of other broadcast and cable networks.<\/p>\n
\n\tThis year's event marks the fourth, after historic fundraising telecasts in 2008, 2010 and 2012. SU2C is a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF). On September 5 at 8 p.m. the following networks will donate one hour of simultaneous commercial-free prime time for the live broadcast: ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC, along with American Forces Network, Bravo, Cooking Channel, Discovery Fit & Health, E!, Encore, Encore Espanol, EPIX, ESPNews, FOX Sports 2, FXM, HBO, HBO Latino, ION Television, Lifetime Movie Network, Logo TV, MLB Network, National Geographic Channel, Oxygen, Palladia, Pivot, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, Starz, TNT and VH1.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe broadcast will feature performances from top recording artists and celebrities from film and TV, engaging viewers with stories of progress being made by SU2C-funded research. Returning for the second time as executive producers of the telecast are Joel Gallen, the president of Tenth Planet Productions, and actress Gwyneth Paltrow.<\/p>\n

It is an honor to be part of a show and a movement that sets a great challenge and works tirelessly to meet it,” Gallen said. “This terrible disease has taken too many loved ones and on this special night, we're working together to raise awareness and funds for the groundbreaking research that is saving people's lives.
