\n\tBEVERLY HILLS: Starz has greenlit Survivor's Remorse<\/em>, an original scripted comedy series written and executive produced by Emmy-nominated actor Mike O'Malley.<\/p>\n

\n\tSurvivor's Remorse<\/em> follows the life of a basketball player who has just signed a multi-million-dollar contract to play for a professional team. The six-episode first season of the half-hour show is scheduled to premiere on Starz in the fall of 2014. Executive producing alongside O'Malley will be NBA star LeBron James; his friend and manager Maverick Carter; Paul Wachter, a financial advisor to the sports and media industry; and Tom Werner, co-founder of The Carsey-Werner Company.<\/p>\n

\n\t"Ever since I got cut from the freshman hoop team at Bishop Guertin High School in 1980, I've wanted to write about my love and hatred of basketball," noted O'Malley. "Starz has given us great freedom to explore an authentic world inspired by Maverick and LeBron. Tom's legendary TV career and his experiences as a professional sports owner combined with Paul's wealth of business and entertainment industry relationships have given this team a truly strong foundation to build a successful series."<\/p>\n
