\n\tBURBANK: There have been a series of promotions within Warner Bros., including Robert Blair and Jim Brehm becoming executive VPs of Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.<\/p>\n
\n\tBlair and Brehm will jointly lead the company's international sales team. Both will be working to develop the overall strategy and lead the sales efforts for Warner Bros. programming outside the U.S. They will be under the direction of Jeffrey Schlesinger, the president of worldwide television distribution.<\/p>\n
\n\t“Robert and Jim are two of the smartest most strategic executives in the international television business today,” said Schlesinger. “They are responsible for some of the largest and most innovative deals we have done internationally, as well as having incredible client relationships. I am confident that together with our existing team of talented sales executive around the world we can continue to design new and innovative ways to license our programming internationally and grow our business.”<\/p>\n
\n\tMeanwhile, David Decker has been elevated to executive VP of business and legal affairs for Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution. He will oversee the combined U.S. and international TV distribution's business and legal affairs groups. All lawyers and business affairs execs will report to Decker, who will report to Schlesinger. Ron Miele, who is the general counsel for Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, will continue to report to Schlesinger.<\/p>\n
\n\t“It was clear to me that the most effective first step in aligning the distribution of Warner Bros programming to all television and SVOD outlets around the world is to create a single legal and business affairs group to better service our global customers and share best practices,” said Schlesinger. “This is the one group that is involved in all of our dealings in both the traditional and new media platforms, and their input helps develop our strategy and licensing policy.
