BEVERLY HILLS: The Television Critics Association (TCA) recognized Breaking Bad <\/em>as this season’s program of the year at its annual awards, also honoring the FX freshman drama The Americans <\/em>for outstanding new program. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

HBO’s Game of Thrones <\/em>was awarded for outstanding achievement in drama. The series won the program of the year award at last year’s event. BBC America’s Orphan Black <\/em>star Tatiana Maslany was honored with the award for individual achievement in drama. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The comedy category was split, with wins going to CBS’s The Big Bang Theory <\/em>and NBC’s Parks and Recreation<\/em>. Louis C.K., the star of FX’s Louie<\/em>, took the award for individual achievement in comedy for the second year in a row. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

HBO’s Behind the Candelabra <\/em>came out on top in the category for outstanding achievement in movies, miniseries and specials. ABC’s Shark Tank <\/em>was the winner for outstanding achievement in reality programming. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

TCA recognized ABC Family’s Bunheads <\/em>for outstanding achievement in youth programming. The PBS documentary The Central Park Five <\/em>won for outstanding achievement in news and information. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This year’s heritage award was given to the classic sitcom All in the Family<\/em>, recognizing its cultural and social impact. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Barbara Walters was honored with a career achievement award for her influence in covering news and information. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
