BEVERLY HILLS: HBO has scored the most nominations for the third annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards, with 21 nods, followed closely by FX, which landed 19. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The most-nominated series are The Big Bang Theory <\/em>and American Horror Story: Asylum<\/em>, with six each. Parks and Recreation <\/em>and Top of the Lake <\/em>each scored five. The Americans<\/em>, Breaking Bad<\/em>, Game of Thrones<\/em>, The Good Wife<\/em>, Louie<\/em>, New Girl<\/em> and Political Animals <\/em>each received four nominations. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Up for best comedy are The Big Bang Theory<\/em>, Louie<\/em>, The Middle<\/em>, New Girl<\/em>, Parks and Recreation <\/em>and Veep<\/em>. For best actor in a comedy, the nominees are Don Cheadle for House of Lies<\/em>, Louis C.K. for Louie<\/em>, Jake Johnson for New Girl<\/em>, Jim Parsons for The Big Bang Theor<\/em>y<\/em>, Adam Scott for Parks and Recreation <\/em>and Jeremy Sisto for Suburgatory<\/em>. The female nominees are Laura Dern for Enlightened<\/em>, Zooey Deschanel for New Girl<\/em>, Lena Dunham for Girls<\/em>, Sutton Foster for Bunheads<\/em>, Julia Louis-Dreyfus for Veep <\/em>and Amy Poehler for Parks and Recreation<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Drama series contenders are The Americans<\/em>, Breaking Bad<\/em>, Downton Abbey<\/em>, Game of Thrones<\/em>, The Good Wife <\/em>and Homeland<\/em>. Breaking Bad<\/em>‘s Bryan Cranston<\/a> is up for best actor in a drama, along with Damian Lewis for Homeland<\/em>, Andrew Lincoln<\/a> for The Walking Dead<\/em>, Timothy Olyphant for Justified<\/em>, Matthew Rhys<\/a> for The Americans <\/em>and Kevin Spacey for House of Cards<\/em>. The actress category recognizes Claire Danes for Homeland<\/em>, Vera Farmiga for Bates Motel<\/em>, Julianna Margulies for The Good Wife<\/em>, Tatiana Maslany for Orphan Black<\/em>, Elisabeth Moss<\/a> for Mad Men <\/em>and Keri Russell<\/a> for The Americans<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The nominees for best movie or mini-series are American Horror Story: Asylum<\/em>, Behind the Candelabra<\/em>, The Crimson Petal and the White<\/em>, The Hour<\/em>, Political Animals<\/em> and Top of the Lake<\/em>. The performance nominations went to, on the male side, Benedict Cumberbatch for Parade’s End<\/em>, Matt Damon and Michael Douglas for Behind the Candelabra<\/em>, Toby Jones for The Girl<\/em>, Al Pacino for Phil Spector <\/em>and Dominic West for The Hour<\/em>. On the female side it is Angela Bassett for Betty & Coretta<\/em>, Romola Garai for The Hour<\/em>, Rebecca Hall for Parade’s End<\/em>, Jessica Lange for American Horror Story: Asylum<\/em>, Elisabeth Moss for Top of the Lake <\/em>and Sigourney Weaver for Political Animals<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Up for best reality series are Duck Dynasty<\/em>, The Moment<\/em>, Pawn Stars<\/em>, Push Girls<\/em>, Small Town Security <\/em>and Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan<\/em>. Best reality competition series up for the award are Chopped<\/em>, Face Off<\/em>, Shark Tank<\/em>, So You Think You Can Dance<\/em>, Survivor <\/em>and The Voice<\/em>.
