NEW YORK: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.<\/em>, slated for ABC’s fall schedule, is generating significant conversation in social media, according to Networked Insights, which is offering up its projected hits and misses for the upcoming season.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.<\/em> had the most engagement out of all the shows out there," Sean Reckwerdt, lead analyst at Networked Insights, tells World Screen<\/em> following his analysis of social-media conversations to see what’s of interest to potential viewers. "It’s got the tie-in to the film series and it’s got Joss Whedon. He can be a bit of a polarizing showrunner, but overall he’s well loved by many."
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Resurrection<\/em>, which is being held for a midseason debut, is also piquing interest. "The concept sounds cool and [social-media users] like that Omar Epps from House<\/em> is in it. When I see negative conversations around it, it’s usually concerns about how it’ll be hard to execute, based upon the plot."
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Of the comedies on the slate, Reckwerdt sees potential in the midseason offering Mixology<\/em>, in part due to Glee<\/em> alum Vanessa Lengies. There is concern from potential viewers though that it’s a "serialized multicam show, it’s a very high concept, it’s like 24<\/em> [meets] Happy Endings<\/em>," a critically acclaimed sitcom that was recently canned by ABC.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Also generating significant buzz is Rebel Wilson’s Super Fun Night<\/em>, which Reckwerdt bills as the "number one comedy for ABC right now." As with most ensemble comedies, Reckwerdt expects the series to be a slow build—assuming ABC keeps it on the air for long enough to develop a fan base. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
