NEW YORK: For its fall and midseason schedules, CBS has added five new comedies and three new dramas, including Hostages<\/em>, a serialized suspense thriller from executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The new comedies coming to CBS in the fall include The Crazy Ones<\/em>, from executive producer David E. Kelley and starring Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar; The Millers<\/em>, which stars Will Arnett, Margo Martindale, Beau Bridges and JB Smoove; and Mom<\/em>, from executive producer Chuck Lorre. Also for the fall schedule is We Are Men<\/em>, starring Tony Shalhoub, Kal Penn, Chris Smith and Jerry O’Connell. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Two new dramas will make their way to the network’s Monday lineup. Hostages<\/em>, which stars Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott, will air its season finale in January. Soon after, Intelligence<\/em>, starring Josh Holloway, Marg Helgenberger and Meghan Ory, moves into the time period. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Set for midseason are Reckless<\/em>, a legal drama set in Charleston, South Carolina, and Friends with Better Lives<\/em>, a romantic comedy. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

These freshman series join a lineup of 20 returning shows, including NCIS<\/em>, The Big Bang Theory<\/em>, 60 Minutes <\/em>and Elementary<\/em>. Also returning to the network are How I Met Your Mother<\/em>, 2 Broke Girls<\/em>, NCIS: Los Angeles<\/em>, Person of Interest<\/em>, Survivor<\/em>, Criminal Minds <\/em>and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/em>. The network has also brought back Two and a Half Men<\/em>, Undercover Boss<\/em>, Hawaii Five-O<\/em>, Blue Bloods<\/em>, 48 Hours<\/em>, The Amazing Race<\/em>, The Good Wife <\/em>and The Mentalist<\/em>. For miseason, Mike & Molly <\/em>will be returning. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Monday schedule pairs veteran comedy How I Met Your Mother<\/em> with the new We Are Men<\/em>. 2 Broke Girls <\/em>will follow as a lead in to Mom<\/em>. At 10 p.m., Hostages <\/em>will be airing until January, when Intelligence <\/em>takes over. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tuesdays will see CBS pairing top-rated dramas NCIS<\/em>, NCIS: Los Angeles <\/em>and Person of Interest<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday nights start off with the popular reality series Survivor <\/em>in the 8 p.m. hour, followed by Criminal Minds <\/em>and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday nights will see an expanded comedy lineup, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. This is where the network will be airing its hit The Big Bang Theory<\/em>, giving a lead in to the new comedy The Millers<\/em>. The Crazy Ones <\/em>and Two and a Half Men <\/em>round out the hour. Elementary <\/em>will cap off the night at 10 p.m. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For Fridays, CBS placed Undercover Boss <\/em>at the top of prime time, giving way to Hawaii Five-0 <\/em>and Blue Bloods<\/em>. On Saturdays is the CBS "Comedytime," which features encore broadcasts of the network’s hit comedies. This is followed by "Crimetime" <\/em>programming and 48 Hours<\/em>. The Sunday schedule has The Amazing Race<\/em>, followed by The Good Wife <\/em>and The Mentalist<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
