NEW YORK: <\/span><\/span>Bonnie Hammer<\/span><\/a> is taking over responsibility for the entire cable portfolio at NBCUniversal, while Lauren Zalaznick shifts her focus to digital and emerging technology and former Univision exec Joe Uva joins the company in the newly created role of chairman for Hispanic enterprises and content. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hammer, Zalaznick and Uva will all be serving on the executive committee and reporting directly to Steve Burke, NBCU’s CEO, who outlined the changes in an internal email to staff. Hammer and Zalaznick take up their new roles with immediate effect, while Uva joins on April 3. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hammer, who has been serving as the president of NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and Universal Cable Productions, adds Bravo, Oxygen, Style, Sprout and TV One to her current responsibilities, which include USA Network, Syfy, E!, G4, Cloo, Chiller, Universal HD, Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios. With the additions, the newly formed group, which is being renamed the cable entertainment group, will represent approximately 50 percent of the company’s operating cash flow. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Zalaznick is being promoted to the role of executive VP of NBCUniversal, with a focus on innovation, digital, monetization and emerging technology. She will continue to be involved in the sales and marketing initiatives of the integrated media group, including Women at NBCU, Hispanics at NBCU and the NBCU Digital Council. The Fandango and Daily Candy teams continue to report to Zalaznick. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Uva, who most recently spent four years as the president and CEO of Univision Communications, becomes responsible for NBCU’s Hispanic franchise and all of its Hispanic content efforts, including Telemundo and mun2. He will also work to increase the presence of Hispanic news and entertainment programming across all of NBCU’s networks and platforms. Emilio Romano, the president of Telemundo and mun2, and his team will all report to Uva. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
