NEW YORK: A+E Networks has introduced the company’s first-ever video watch iPad apps, for A&E, HISTORY and Lifetime, now available for free download in the App Store.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Powered by Bottle Rocket, these apps offer exclusive clips as well as full episodes and movies from A+E Networks. Titles include A&E’s Storage Wars<\/em> and Duck Dynasty<\/em>; HISTORY’s Pawn Stars<\/em> and Swamp People<\/em>; and Lifetime’s Dance Moms<\/em> and Project Runway<\/em>. Comcast’s XFinity TV customers are able to access even more content.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The apps, which include "Continued Watching" and "Queue" features, will be available for the iPod Touch and iPhone next month. Android versions will follow at some point early next year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

"By offering the A&E, HISTORY and Lifetime watch apps, we are giving fans of our networks an opportunity to consume our leading libraries of original quality content wherever and whenever they want it," remarked Dan Suratt, the executive VP of digital media and business development for A+E Networks.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

"With our new apps, A+E Networks will be on the forefront of supporting the industry’s efforts toward TV Everywhere," said David Zagin, the president of distribution for A+E Networks. "We are looking forward to partnering with our distributors in the future to bring their customers more of our great programming."<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Matt Strauss, the senior VP of digital and emerging platforms for Comcast Cable, added: "In partnering with A+E Networks, Comcast continues to build on its industry-leading TV Everywhere offerings, and yet again positions Xfinity TV customers at the forefront to access great programming on multiple devices. We’re pleased to be the first provider to offer our customers A+E Networks’ compelling content on its app, and also online at Xfinity.com\/TV."<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
