LOS ANGELES: Among the most-nominated TV programs for the 19th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards are Modern Family<\/em>, which scored four nods, and Homeland<\/em>, which has both leads up for the male and female performance categories.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The nominees for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama are the casts of Boardwalk Empire<\/em>, Breaking Bad<\/em>, Downton Abbey<\/em>, Homeland<\/em> and Mad Men<\/em>. On the comedy front, it is the casts of 30 Rock<\/em>, The Big Bang Theory<\/em>, Glee<\/em>, Modern Family<\/em>, Nurse Jackie<\/em> and The Office<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Individual performance nods for drama went to Boardwalk Empire<\/em>‘s Steve Buscemi, Breaking Bad<\/em>‘s Bryan Cranston, The Newsroom<\/em>‘s Jeff Daniels, Mad Men<\/em>‘s Jon Hamm and Homeland<\/em>‘s Damian Lewis. Also up for individual performance awards for drama are Claire Danes for Homeland<\/em>, Michelle Dockery for Downton Abbey<\/em>, Jessica Lange for American Horror Story: Asylum<\/em>, Julianna Margulies for The Good Wife<\/em> and Maggie Smith for Downton Abbey<\/em>. Comedy performance nominees in the actor category are Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock<\/em>, Ty Burrell for Modern Family<\/em>, Louis C.K. for Louie<\/em>, Jim Parsons for The Big Bang Theory<\/em> and Eric Stonestreet for Modern Family<\/em>. Female comedic leads recognized are Edie Falco for Nurse Jackie<\/em>, Tina Fey for 30 Rock<\/em>, Amy Poehler for Parks and Recreation<\/em>, Sofia Vergara for Modern Family <\/em>and Betty White for Hot in Cleveland<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For TV or mini-series, the actors nominated for their performances are Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton for Hatfields & McCoys<\/em>, Woody Harrelson and Ed Harris for Game Change<\/em> and Clive Owen for Hemingway & Gellhorn<\/em>. Females up for the honors are Nicole Kidman for Hemingway & Gellhorn<\/em>, Julianne Moore for Game Change<\/em>, Charlotte Rampling for Restless<\/em>, Sigourney Weaver for Political Animals<\/em> and Alfre Woodard for Steel Magnolias<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the motion picture arena, the casts of Argo<\/em>, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel<\/em>, Les Misérables<\/em>, Lincoln<\/em> and Silver Linings Playboo<\/em>k are nominated for outstanding ensembles. Male performances recognized are, for lead roles, Bradley Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook<\/em>, Daniel Day-Lewis for Lincoln<\/em>, John Hawkes for The Sessions<\/em>, Hugh Jackman for Les Misérables<\/em> and Denzel Washington for Flight<\/em>. Supporting nods went to Alan Arkin for Argo<\/em>, Javier Bardem for Skyfall<\/em>, Robert De Niro for Silver Linings Playbook,<\/em> Philip Seymour Hoffman for The Master<\/em> and Tommy Lee Jones for Lincoln<\/em>. Females recognized for leading roles are Jessica Chastain for Zero Dark Thirty<\/em>, Marion Cotillard for Rust and Bone<\/em>, Jennifer Lawrence for Silver Linings Playbook<\/em>, Helen Mirren for Hitchcock<\/em> and Naomi Watts for The Impossible<\/em>.
