He will be charged with developing&nbsp;new programming for the U.S. broadcast and cable markets.<\/font><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\"><font class=\"Apple-style-span\">In the past, Shaftel held the title of VP of development at Leftfield Pictures, where he supervised the development of nearly two dozen shows for a number of cable networks. Before that, he worked in program development at Discovery, for which he produced such shows as <em>Destroyed in Seconds<\/em> and <em>Verminators<\/em>.<\/font><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">&quot;Rob comes to us with a fantastic track record and tremendous skill in developing hit shows,&quot; said Robertson. &quot;His expertise will help ITV Studios America continue to expand both our New York office and the success of our non-scripted offerings in the United States.
